Its dual ball bearing locking mechanism resists pulling and prying giving it added security levels. The 83 series can be keyed into many popular security keyways with a cylinder that can be taken out and re-keyed to match most existing keys. The 83/50 series also has the patented shackle change feature, allowing the user to change out shackles in seconds. with ABUS patented Z-bar it converts key retaining to non-key-retaining within seconds.
