The Electronic Motor Protection (EMP) and Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) system recognize motor overload and protect the tool by monitoring and adjusting usage conditions, shutting down when overheating could be damaging the batteries or the motor. The systems function by proactively controlling the discharge current, the temperature of the battery pack and the discharge status to its pre-programmed limits so that the Die Grinder proactively prevents damage to itself. At only 3.9 pounds and 13 inches, the DGSH181 18-Volt Die Grinder works with a variety of 1/4-Inch shank accessories including those for grinding, sanding, cutting and polishing applications. This kit includes: (1) Bare-Tool DGSH181BL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Die Grinder (batteries sold separately) and (1) LBOXX-2 carrying case with an Exact-Fit Tool Insert Tray, which are part of a stackable storage system designed to improve tool organization and transportation on the jobsite. One of four different cases, the LBOXX-2 is ideal for storing 18-Volt cordless drill/drivers and compact system tools, with room for accessories. The innovative click system allows for easy connection and disconnection of any number of L-BOXX's.
