Suitable for all watering systems, this rain sensor avoids unnecessary wasting of water by turning the sprinklers off when it is raining. The water timer systems are not included. When rainwater collects in the Rain Sensor for Auto Water Timers, it flows down to lift the internal float. Once this float reaches the level of 1.93 ounces, the float will shut off the electric circuit in the timer. Programmed watering automatically resumes when the water in the sensor evaporates. The rain sensor should be installed in an outdoor area exposed to rain using the stainless steel bracket provided. The Rain Sensor for Auto Water Timers will work with the Automatic 2-Line 3-Cycle Water Timer, the Automatic 1-Line 2-Cycle Water Timer, and the Automatic 1-line 15 Pre-set Cycle Water Timer (all not included).
