Always use genuine Rapid Staples - series 140. Rapid tools are designed to handle tough work. The R311 has an ergonomic design that reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries. New pantented opening mechanism - a light tap on the bottom button; and the magazine is opened for two rows of staples. Easy to load; easy to clear. The staple driver is a wearing part. The R311 has a unique patented reversible driver which gives you twice the lifespan. Large protective plate. Many materials - roofing felt; moisture barriers; protective plastic sheeting - are sensitive to impact. The protective plate saves the base material.
