The Spy-MAX listening device includes a highly sensitive detachable contact microphone and also features a dedicated audio recording outlet (for recording - recorder not included), in addition to earphone outlet. So you can listen and record audio evidence simultaneously.

Spy-MAX is suitable for professional surveillance tasks where sound clarity and high amplification are necessary. Easy to use, simply plug the contact microphone into the device, place it securely against the wall, and hear the sounds in the next room as if you were there.

The device includes a 9 Volt Alkaline battery with a 60 hour charge capacity. A set of plug-in headphones is also included.

How Spy-MAX Works: The sounds produced in the room adjacent to yours are sound-waves that reverberate against the wall, being deflected, muffled and dispersed by it. When you place the contact microphone device against the wall it picks up those residual vibrations and passes them to the amplifier housed in the device's body, which amplifies and converts them back to original sounds, so that you may hear the sounds in the adjacent room as if you were there.
