What distance is the microphone capable of listening to voices on the other side of wall?
This depends on the thickness of the wall, the volume of voice and of course the distance of voice to wall.
However it is capable of hearing voices at 5-10 metres through a solid door and 2-5 metres through cavity / partition walls.
These are very dependant on the material it is placed on and its surrounding structure.
Many factors have to be taken into consideration but in principal the more solid the surface the better the result, softer surfaces absorb sound so not so good.
Can I record what I'm listening to?
You can connect a voice recorder using the earphone jack output.
These are primarily designed for listening ONLY. If you need to record then you need to buy the 'pro' version below.
