GP2Y0A02YK0F is a distance measuring sensor device which is made up of PSD (position sensitive detector) , IRED (infrared light emitting diode) and signal processor. Because of using the triangulation method, the color of the bright objects, reflectivity of the object, color, environment temperature and duration of the operation is not easy to affect distance measurement. The device output voltage corresponding to the detection distance, sensors can also be used as a proximity sensor.

External control circuit is not necessarily output which can be directly connected to the microcomputer.
